Netscape Communications Corp recently axed its Live Payment credit card transaction server software due to poor sales and said it would look to one or more of its existing payment partners for a replacement, which is what it announced on Friday, expanding its relationships with VeriFone Inc, CyberCash Inc and Trintech. Netscape and each of the partners will work to integrate their payment stuff into SuiteSpot 3.0 server offering using JavaScript. The technology is VeriFone’s vPOS merchant credit card software and its vGATE internet gateway software for financial institutions, CyberCash’s CashRegister server and Wallet client software and Trintech’s PayWare server-based payment software.
