Newly ensconced under IBM’s Big Blue umbrella (CI No 3,143) but still independently-minded, NetObjects Inc has won Novell Inc as the latest taker for its Fusion Website management tool (CI No 3,075). Novell wants it as part of its so-called ‘Taking it to the Street’ multi-vendor product package. Novell is obviously looking to attract a new hip audience for its stuff if that name and the very average ‘Rock the Net’ cringe-making slogan are anything to go by. Meantime, NetObjects has signed with distributors in the UK, Germany, Australia and Denmark for Fusion.
