NetObjects Inc is causing a few waves with its NetObjects Fusion, the new name for its object-oriented tools for building Web pages without having to resort to HyperText Mark-up Language (CI No 2,843) which is due to be announced today. It is being hailed as the software tool that could democratize the building of World Wide Web sites by eliminating code while still making it possible to build sexy sites. IBM Corp, Netscape Communications Corp and Sun Microsystems Inc all have co-marketing or bundling pacts with the Redwood City company – IBM will bundle NetObjects Fusion with DB2, including NetObjects Fusion in a new offering called net.data, a database interface for the Web.
