NetManage Inc has launched multi-host connectivity software for Microsoft Corp’s Windows Terminal Server and Citrix Systems Inc’s MetaFrame. ViewNow adds connectivity to Unix, AS/400 and mainframe hosts to thin clients, CE-terminals and PCs running Windows for Workgroups 3.11. It also supports Microsoft SNA Server (which includes 3270 emulation supplied by NetManage) to help with the migration task from SNA to TCP/IP. The product integrates NetManage’s SupportNow real-time support system, enabling instant communications and interactive sessions between support staff and users. NetManage, based in Cupertino, California, says the new product, part of its eN2000 product line, is the first stage towards a fully Windows 2000 compliant product.
