Netlist, a designer and manufacturer of high-performance memory subsystems, has expanded its data protection product line with EXPRESSvault, a PCI Express backup and recovery solution for cache data protection.
EXPRESSvault combines the memory performance of DRAM and non-volatility of flash to deliver the high data throughput required by cache backup applications without degrading system performance.
EXPRESSvault leverages Netlist’s NVvault (formerly known as NetVault) flash backup subsystem controller to provide reliable backup and recovery while eliminating the expense, maintenance and performance degradation associated with traditional battery backup schemes.
According to Netlist, EXPRESSvault is designed for applications requiring backup of cache data or state information such as storage virtualization, RAID storage, and journaling applications requiring fast, reliable data preservation and recovery following power failures or system faults.
