NETHERLANDS SUBSIDISES OCE’S INKJET EFFORT

The Dutch government is bankrolling photocopier maker Oce-van der Grinten NV to the tune of $28m to get into inkjet printing technology. The five-year development project is budgeted at $126m all told. Part of the work will be contracted out to Dutch research institutes. The target from the printers is large format full color output, short print-runs and high quality.
