Roslyn Heights, New York-based Cheyenne Software Inc has relieved NetFrame Systems Inc of its DataJET image back-up product line, to add to its ARCserve and ARCsolo line of file back-up products. DataJET is an image-based software back-up product for Novell Inc NetWare file servers. The acquisition involves an undisclosed cash sum paid upfront, and ongoing royalty payments to NetFrame based on sales results achieved by Cheyenne, which will also be taking over some liabilities. Cheyenne receives exclusive rights to the DataJET technology and patents, and to some other assets. NetFrame will license back some of the DataJET technology, and plans to continue to sell and support it as part of its product line.
