Minneplois, Minnesota-based Yomari has a strong focus on the retail CPG sector and will work with Framingham, Massachusetts-based Netezza to develop a toolkit for retailers that use Oracle’s Retail systems to deploy analytic reporting solution on the Netezza Performance Server (NPS).

The toolkit will provide a pre-built framework for migrating and integrating Oracle Retail Data onto NPS. Users will then be able to analyze and report on data using NPS on various Oracle Retail modules like merchandising, sales audit, price management and demand forecasting.

Netezza claims the partnership will enable users to implement its NPS appliance in less than three months.

Netezza’s NPS system is purpose-built hardware-software appliance used to analyze terabytes of detailed data, at speeds of 10 to 100 times faster than conventional data warehouses, so the company claims. The secret sauce is the way in which NPS stores, filters and processes records within a single processing unit that analyzes only the relevant information for each query. The net result is speedy query performance.
