NetCracker releases new version of OSS product

Includes service template visualisation and pre-built adapters

By CBR Staff Writer

NetCracker Technology has released version 8.0 of its OSS product, which incorporates new capabilities including a workforce management module. It also introduces new features such as service template visualisation and pre-built adapters for integration and deployment.

The new offering expands the company’s services and Network-IT resource management and optimisation capabilities into the adjacent workforce management domain. It provides visibility into all processes related to service fulfillment, infrastructure management and service assurance, the company said.

According to NetCracker, the new version offers service providers a suite of tools for business transformation support, including order handling, visualisation and pre-built integration adapters. It includes order processing framework and service provisioning framework extensions; new standard API support including OSS/J FM, OM, service inventory, MTOSI 2.0; integration adapters with ALU, Ericsson, Huawei, NSN; and template-based visualisation for services, customers, and networks.

Andrew Feinberg, president and CEO of NetCracker, said: “NetCracker is recognised as the technology leader in the OSS domain. With the newest release of our product, NetCracker is expanding the traditional role of OSS to help service providers optimise one of the most expensive part of their business OpEx spent on internal and external personnel.”
