The xApp ActiveSuite is powered by SAP NetWeaver. According to Neoris, the integration of the application with SAP’s ERP, using the supply chain event manager and the transportation management 6.0 (TM 6.0), will offer an event-driven solution with automated real-time visibility to track and trace vehicles and cargo.

The application features scheduling enforcement, telemetry, vehicle and cargo tracking, route execution, load/unload verification and specialized monitoring. The company said that it also helps customers streamline operational activities, reduce lost and damaged freight, increase visibility of operational data and respond to potential supply chain disruptions.

Lionel Carrasco, chief of technology at Neoris said: ActiveSuite is the answer for companies that need real-time visibility into their supply chains and marks yet another milestone in the alliance between Neoris and SAP that includes transportation and logistics customers around the world.

Neoris said that the ActiveSuite is enabled with wireless technology, which allows mobile workers to capture and process field events using PDAs and smartphones. It can also track and trace devices based on global positioning system (GPS) or Wi-Fi location services.

In October 2007, SAP announced its plans to release the TM 6.0 towards the end of this year.
