New Era of Networks Inc says that its partnership with IBM Corp for MQ Series has so far resulted in joint sales to 12 corporations. Neon and IBM signed a deal in February to extend the MQSeries messaging software into the area of real-time application-to-application message transformation and intelligent message routing (CI No 3,352). The resulting product, MQIntegrator combined MQSeries with Neon’s rules and formatting system, for integrating applications, databases and networks across different platforms running on multiple systems. The new customers include British Airways, the Coca Cola Co, Mutual Life Insurance Co of New York, Pitney-Bowes and Thomas & Betts. Neon CEO Rick Adam said the royalties received from IBM represent a major growth opportunity for Neon. The company plans to integrate technologies it is acquiring from Century Analysis Inc into the MQIntegrator product line (CI No 3,508).
