NEMATRON CORP ACQUIRES VIRTUAL TIME

By CBR Staff Writer

Nematron Corp, the industrial automation company that has been working on real-time extensions for Microsoft Corp’s Windows NT, has acquired Virtual Time Software Inc, a San Jose, California- based real-time developer that has its own RT-Win product, providing real-time determinism to Windows 95. Nematron payed $100,000 in cash and 67,000 shares, and will integrate Virtual Time into its Imagination Systems Inc unit, which develops the Hyperkernel real-time NT add-on. Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Nematron, which has transformed itself from a hardware company to a software house over recent years, acquired Intec Controls earlier this year (CI No 3,114) and has annual revenue of $20m.
