By CBR Staff Writer

NEI has released Element Manager 3.0, which it claims to allow software developers to build and deploy secure, hardened offerings, with low-maintenance lifecycle management in both physical and virtual environments.

According to NEI, the new version includes tools and resources to allow customers scale and manage deployments, including Multi-Appliance Console that allows all deployed appliances to perform from a single appliance without the need for a separate, management server; and Smart Task Manager that reduces end user maintenance requirements by predefining and scheduling cleanup, archive and backup tasks.

The new version also includes Update Manager Enhancements that provides a facility to update all software on the appliance and these upgrades improve performance, reduce network traffic and enhance error recovery and reporting; and Virtual Appliance that allows software vendors to deliver physical and virtual appliances as a common service with identical look and feel and feature set, the company said.
