NEC WINS $200M CONTRACT FROM ARGENTINA’S EMPRESA NACIONAL DE TELECOMMUNICACCIONES

NEC Corp has been awarded a $200m contract for 80 of its NEAX 61 digital telephone exchanges by Argentina’s Empresa Nacional de Telecommunicacciones to digitise the telephone system in Buenos Aires: NEC, which will assemble the exchanges at an Argentine affiliate, says the order takes it up to 50% of the switching systems market.
