NEC TO MAKE 4M MEMORY CHIPS IN THE US

Although NEC Corp is mulling over the idea of making 4M memory chips in the US, and is hoping to decide by April or May, it is at present making nothing more advanced than 256Ks at its Roseville, California plant, although 1Ms are on the cards for the US wafer fab.
