NEC TO BUILD TRIAL PRODUCTION LINE FOR 16M MEMORY CHIPS

Racing ahead of itself with 4Ms only just starting to appear as samples, – and no doubt hoping to spook its rivals – NEC Corp says it will build a trial production line for 16M memory chips for completion in about a year’s time: it talks of volume production in 1993 or 1994.
