NEC RECORDER: FOUR HOURS OF VIDEO ON 4.7″ DISK

NEC Corp announced that it has developed a optical video disk recorder that can store up to 10.4Gb of video data, for as much as four hours of playback. The recorder uses both sides of a 4.7 high performance optical disk and MPEG-2 compression. NEC plans to market the product for business applications in late 1996. The company did not give any indication of a price.
