NEC HAS CORVUS OMNINET CHIP

Corvus Systems Inc, San Jose, and NEC Corp, Tokyo, yesterday jointly announced a network controller chip that supports the Corvus Omninet protocols at up to four megabits per second. Designated the NECuPD72105C/L, the chip is being marketed by NEC, but a licence from Corvus is required for the use of the Omninet protocols. No prices were given for the uPD72105 chip.
