NEC DEVELOPS CHINESE LANGUAGE WORD PROCESSOR

By CBR Staff Writer

NEC Corp has developed a Chinese language word processor in partnership with two companies in the People’s Republic: the new machine is based on NEC’s Bungo Mini 5H word processor, but has a new keyboard and about 8,000 commonly used Chinese characters replacing the Japanese character; the word processor will be produced in Japan and sold via the China International Trust and Investment Corp group, although manufacturing in China is in the plan for sometime in the future.
