NEC CONCENTRATES ON COMBINING MEMORY WITH LOGIC

NEC Corp is looking to escape the commodity memory chip bind by concentrating its business on new electronic devices that combine memory with logic. As integration levels increase, it is now perfectly feasible to create a single 80486-derived chip for notebook computers that includes the processor and 4Mb of memory plus a deal of glue logic on a single chip.
