NEC BRINGS IN ZDS EUROPE BOSS TO RUN SERVERS

By CBR Staff Writer

Turns out that in NEC Computer Systems Inc’s recent reorganization, former EVP workstations and servers John O’Keefe was offered a customer liaison position, said to be a euphemism for the door. NEC says it’s unconcerned about a concerted attack on the Windows NT server market that Acer Corp’s supposedly preparing to unleash. Who can tell Acer from ALR from Micron from Axil from Intergraph. NEC’s focused on Compaq, HP, IBM, Dell and DEC, they which it thinks is most vulnerable in this space.
