NEC AND TOSHIBA CONSIDERING MANUFACTURING IN US, SEIKO EPSON ALREADY DECIDED ON PORTLAND PLANT

The soaraway yen and the gathering clouds of trade war are doing wonders for Japanese inward investment in the US: NEC is considering setting up a manufacturing plant for its NEC Home Electronics Multispeed laptop in Dallas, and for its Advanced Personal Computer at NEC Information Systems in Lexington, Massachusetts; Toshiba is considering US manufacture of its T1100 and T3100 lap-tops, and Seiko Epson has made already decided to make its Personalikes in Portland, Oregon.
