NEC and CA Technologies are strengthening their cooperation in the application performance management software field, through the integration of their products and technological strengths to enhance management and monitoring capabilities.

Under the cooperation, NEC will provide a new ‘Service Performance Management offering’ that is enabled by integration between CA’s Wily Introscope application performance management software and NEC’s system performance analysis software ‘MasterScope Invariant Analyser’.

The companies said that the Service Performance Management offering will automatically visualise, analyse and diagnose the root causes of web applications’ internal performance, and detects declining responses from web applications and their possible causes from IT infrastructure.

In addition, the combined offering will also automatically detect and perform real-time analysis of silent failures that differ from normal behaviours, the firms claim.

NEC said that it will coordinate and expand sales of the new offering by promoting its adoption within large scale systems focused on domestic data centre telecommunications and financial systems.

Buster Brown, president of CA Technologies, said: "CA Technologies and NEC’s existing partnership in the application performance management field has been reinforced through this latest agreement, which is expected to strengthen sales of the CA Wily Introscope, thanks to real-time links with the MasterScope Invariant Analyser, and to further solidify application performance management for mission critical systems.
