NCR Corp’s Applied Digital Data Systems has discovered that it’s now as cheap if not cheaper to make terminals in the US as it is in the Far East, and as one of the last VDU makers to move offshore, it is among the first to start bringing work back: it has signed contract manufacturer Omnishore Inc, Carson City, Nevada to make its latest generation Carson City under a contract said to be worth over $10m; volume ships are set for February.
