NCR Ltd had a good 1988, recording profits at the operating level up 25% at UKP43m on turnover up 16% at UKP260.1m; exports rose 33% to UKP99.6m. Consolidated pre-tax profit was up 10% at UKP45.6m and net profits up 11% at UKP28.7m. The company will be paying a UKP52m dividend to its parent in Dayton.
