Figures from NCR Ltd, the UK subsidiary of the Daytoner, are very much in line with those reported by Honeywell Bull UK last week: healthy sales growth but flat profits. NCR did rather better than Honeywell on the turnover side, growing 16% to 16% at UKP224.9m, but a little worse at the bottom line, with operating profit off 2% at UKP34.3m. Net profit fell 0.75% to UKP25.8m. Exports were a very bright spot – all those automatic teller machines made in Dundee helped sales abroad to soar 45% to UKP75m.
