NCR RECEIVES ORDER FROM THE UK POST OFFICE FOR UNIX TOWER SYSTEMS

NCR Corp has received an order from the UK Post Office for $3m of Unix Tower systems: the deal involves over 300 Tower 32/400 systems for integration into the Post Office’s SNA network, which will be used to track the movement of Datapost parcels throughout the UK, routing bar-coded data to the relevant receiving station and also transferring information to an IBM host mainframe via the SNA Advanced Program to Program Communications.
