NCR Ltd, wholly-owned UK subsidiary of NCR Corp, has reported a very healthy set of figures for 1986, showing net profit attributable to its shareholder up 21.6% at UKP26.0m on turnover up 11.6% at UKP173.2m. Pre-tax profit rose 14.7% to UKP41.3m. Much of the additional business was done within the UK, and exports rose only 4.6% to UKP51.6m to account for 30% of the total. NCR’s UK manufacturing operations are in Dundee, where it concentrates primarily on financial transaction terminals and systems.
