Missing from our report yesterday of the NCR announcement were the Multi-Protocol Communications Adaptor, a single board that incorporates several communications protocols and comes in at $595, and unpriced NCR DOS-SNA Communications Software, a series of programs that provide IBM 3270 and 3770 terminal emulation as well as NCR Advanced Program-to-Program Communications, a version of IBM’s APPC, for use in Token Ring nets and where the NCR boxes are used as remote terminals.
