NCR HAS ATM MACHINE FOR THE END OF THE BAR

NCR Corp has a new automatic teller machine designed specifically for unlikely locations such as bars and restaurants. Called the Mini ATM – Personas in the UK – the new device offers a unique combination of convenient size and new revenue-generating opportunities for teller machine owners. The device enables operators to offer coupon-printing, bar coding and a high-quality screen advertising capability, so that outlets such as supermarkets and record stores can can link in-store and loyalty promotions with traditional cash dispensing. The Mini ATM has a large color display and a graphics printer capable of producing high quality retail coupons, pre-paid telephone cards, postage stamps and tickets – so that installed outside entertainment venues it could also dispense entry tickets. It measures less than 20 wide and 31 deep and can be placed on a store table or counter-top. It has been available for about a month in the US, and is due to be launched on the UK market this week.
