NCR DIVISION JOINS SEMATECH

NCR Microelectronics Division in Santa Clara, California has joined the Sematech manufacturing research and development consortium in Austin, Texas, and will get a seat on the board: it will be the first new member announced since September 1987 – and NCR has been extremely successful in transferring consortium generated technology, as proven last year by our Design Advisor ASIC design tool, the first commercial product to emerge from the Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corp consortium, notes NCR.
