NCR Corp says it is developing products using Texas Instrument Inc’s new single-chip 16Mbit-per-second TMS380C16 Token-Ring COMMprocessor, which was unveiled this week: the single chip replaces five chips and is four times faster than the previous generation product, and can be used to build IBM-compatible Token Ring local networks.
