Dayton, Ohio-based NCR Corp has a new personal workstation using the 25MHz 80486SX microprocessor: the System 3335 is upgradable to 33MHz performance, and NCR says that it is designed to accommodate future chip sets; it runs at 20 Drystone MIPS and 12.5 Spec Integer Ratings; NCR says that the CPU provides up to 50% greater performance than the 33MHz 80386, including external cache; an optional maths co-processor can be added for improved system performance; dual ported interleaving memory is expandable to 128Mb of EDAC memory which increases the input-output bandwidth and peripherals; the NCR 3335 is from $4,185 and is available now.
