NCO to pay $325m for BPO vendor OSI

Business process outsourcing provider NCO Group is to acquire Outsourcing Solutions Inc, OSI, for $325m in cash.

Founded in 1995, OSI provides finance and accounting outsourcing services, including billing and receivables management, customer acquisition, and delinquency management. The company reported revenue of $441.5m in 2006 and has approximately 5,000 staff working out of offices in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

Horsham, Pennsylvania-based NCO was acquired by private equity firm One Equity Partners for $1.2bn in November 2006. The company, which provides accounts receivable management, customer contact and back office outsourcing services, reported sales of $935.7m in the first nine months of 2007, up 3% on the same period of the previous year.

NCO’s last acquisition was in December 2006 when it bought Panama-based contact center outsourcing services vendor Star Contact for an undisclosed sum.
