Companies that were born to specialise in dedicated word processors and office automation systems are finding the switch to a more generalised world extremely tough going, and NBI Inc, Boulder, Colorado, says that it will report a higher than expected loss of about $4m for its fiscal first quarter as a res- ult of a slowdown in personal com-puting workstation sales; NBI reported an $877,000 loss a year ago.
