NBC offers interactive coverage of Golden Globes

Interactive features come as standard with most of today's entertainment devices, but television network NBC is to give 'interactive' a new meaning in its coverage of the upcoming Global awards ceremony.

By CBR Staff Writer

NBC’s coverage of the ceremony is to feature a GoldPocket-built two-screen, web-based interactive TV application. The application is accessed via and features live polls, the results of which are to be presented live. As well as casting their votes, users can also engage in interactive games such as film and TV trivia.

Jeff Gaspin, NBC Universal’s president of cable entertainment, said, Giving viewers a more robust interactive digital experience is one of our top priorities at NBC Universal. The Golden Globes provides an excellent opportunity for such a component. You will regularly see more interactive features accompanying our programming as we move forward.
