Negotiations by TV network NBC to acquire the London-based European Business News cable TV channel, which have been going on throughout the summer, have broadened to a possible full offer for Dow Jones & Co, the owners of the channel, and still a privately-held company. NBC is thought to be keen to merge EBN with its own rival CNBC service.
