NATIONAL TELEVISION LICENCE RECORDS OFFICE SPENDS UKP750,000 WITH HOSKYNS GROUP

By CBR Staff Writer

Far be it for us to suggest that anybody might be empire-building, and at least the business has stayed at home with ICL, but it does seem to take an astonishing amount of hardware to keep track of a few million television licences these days – the National Television Licence Records Office has spent UKP750,000 with Hoskyns Group Plc for an IDMSX-based 7Gb database system based on an ICL Super Dual 2988 four-processor mainframe; the work was previously done on a bureau basis by the National Girobank.
