NATIONAL MICRONETICS TEPORARILY LAYS OFF STAFF

Disk drive magnetic recording heads manufacturer National Micronetics Inc, Kingston, New York has temporarily laid off about 150 production employees, 30% of its total workforce, at its Kingston facility because its backlog of orders for its existing products has fallen while its Metal-In-Gap process is not yet ready for production use.
