The National Library of France, still under construction says it has rejected the two responses to its call for proposal for its information system because neither of them truly respond to the technical needs of the organisation: of the 14 companies that received the 10,000-page call for proposal, only two consortia responded – one comprising Cap Gemini Sogeti SA’s subsidiary Cap Sesa Tertiere with Groupe Bull and Alcatel TITN Answare and the other IBM France SA with its CGI Informatique SA subsidiary; Library president Jean Favier says he will go back to firms that did not respond, and others, to find an appropriate partner.
