National Business Systems Inc, Toronto provider of automated transaction products and technology, has made two acquisitions in what it calls the next-genebation terminal market: the acquisitions are petrol station and corner store point-of-sales terminal maker Information Dynamics Corp of Alberta, for $800,000 plus up to $700,000 more on performance; and Pinpoint Retail Systems Inc, being acquired from Imperial Oil, Toronto, for $4.25m, in partnership with Pinpoint resellers Wang Canada and Oakes Investments, the latter distributing in Europe; Pinpoint key product is a point-of-sale system designed for retail operations with multiple electronic cash registers, enabling interfaced price look-up, inventory control and other automated store management functions.
