Nantucket Russia says it sees nothing worrying in the recent purchase of Nantucket Corp by Computer Associates International Inc. In a prepared statement following news of the takeover, Nantucket Russia operations manager Virginia Clough says: I see nothing but good news for our dealers and our customers. Computer Associates has so far not invested in the Russian market and the Nantucket purchase may be a bridgehead into this part of the world. Nantucket is one of the relative ly small number of Western companies selling for local currency and has one of the most developed dealer networks in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Computer Associates sells the Supercalc spreadsheet in Russia but only for hard currency.
