The company said SpamKiller now can be set up to recognize spam in different ways for different users in the case of multiple people using the same home PC. It could be used to have a more stringent spam definition for children, for example.

The software, now under the McAfee label, also has the ability to recognize hoaxes and scams, the company said. It can block such emails, even if they come as forwarded email from friends.
