Starting later this quarter, Cox will offer McAfee’s anti-spam, anti-virus, firewall and privacy services as optional features to its 1.4 million cable internet customers. Users will be billed by Cox as part of their subscription.

Comcast will offer just the McAfee Personal Firewall. The company’s 3.6 million internet subscribers will be offered the service free for one year. They will also have access to McAfee’s SecurityCenter, which provides security news and alerts.
