myStockOptions.com has signed deals with Charles Schwab and J.P. Morgan Chase.

Massachusetts-based myStockOptions.com specializes in the provision of information on stock compensation given to employees and executives. According to CEO Bruce Brumberg, Charles Schwab and J.P. Morgan Chase have already signed deals with the company, with Charles Schwab licensing content from myStockOptions and incorporating it into the Schwab site. Schwab is expected to launch the new service within a couple of weeks. myStockOptions has reached a similar agreement with J.P. Morgan. The firm also says it is in active discussions with other financial service companies such as Salomon Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch and E*Trade.

An increasing number of corporations are including stock options in their benefits package to employees, a trend that myStockOptions has picked up on. There are currently about 12 million people in the US who own stock options. Financial services companies are aiming to benefit from these individuals, and the idea of coupling myStockOptions’ tools and advice services for people who hold stock options or are partaking in restricted stock plans with investment companies’ execution abilities has appealed to several companies.

Many online stock traders and brokers are experiencing problems as a result of the current downturn in the financial markets. Consequently, such companies are trying to attract new and more profitable customers through offering new products and services. While stock options are considered to represent long-term investment opportunities, investment companies can capitalize on the increasing number of stock options issued.

Investors that hold stock options generally require sophisticated educational and analytical tools to make investment decisions, and while myStockOptions.com charges companies a licensing fee for incorporating content onto their website, such an investment may prove wise. Pairing up allows investment companies to continue to focus on their core business, while attracting new, and hopefully profitable investors.
