MYANMAR CHOOSES SINGAPORE AS DATACOMS GATEWAY

Myanmar has set up its first data communications link with the world and has chosen Singapore as its gateway, Singapore Telecom Ltd said. Last month, Singapore Telecom and Myanmar PTT established a 64Kbps link between the two countries. The link, using Telepac, Singapore’s packet-switched services, enables Myanmar to reach out to 110 destinations in 90 countries.
