Eldorado Computing specializes in claims processing and benefit management solutions for the health insurance industry, with reported sales of $10m and 128 customers.

Jerry Rao, CEO at MphasiS BFL, said the acquisition will help the company expand its presence in the US and enable it to enter the healthcare insurance and payment market: The deal is a perfect strategic fit for MphasiS as it provides a well-established software platform and marquis healthcare customer base.

The purchase of Eldorado is the latest transaction conducted by the software company. Last month it bought London, UK-based Princeton Consulting in what has been seen as early evidence of MphasiS’ drive to boost business abroad. The company has also acquired Chinese firm Navion and IT company Kshema Technologies.

The Eldorado purchase is expected to be completed by the end of March.
