Movius Interactive, a provider of messaging, collaboration and mobile media services, and Neutral Tandem, a provider of tandem interconnection services, have agreed for a strategic joint offering to enable telecommunications carriers to improve the delivery of new interactive messaging applications to market.
Under the terms of the new arrangement, Movius and Neutral Tandem will provide messaging services on a hosted basis to wireless, wireline, cable and broadband operators. Movius’ suite of messaging, collaboration and interactive mobile media applications will be hosted in Neutral Tandem’s IP compatible, interconnection network.
In addition, the offering will be hosted in Neutral Tandem’s redundant hosting environment which offers battery and generator backup power and dual entrance fibre facilities.
The companies claims that with their new Movius/Neutral Tandem Hosted Service Delivery Platform, carriers can offer messaging services without the upfront capital.
Oscar Rodriguez, CEO of Movius, said: By partnering with Neutral Tandem, we can now enable carriers to accelerate their time to market while minimising their initial expense for launching new applications such as Visual Voicemail and VoiceSMS.
“Neutral Tandem’s existing network interconnections with the major competitive carriers across the country serve as a logical platform from which to offer these applications in a convenient and redundant hosted environment.
