Mountain View, California-based Ask Computer Systems Inc has announced Manman/Automotive, an electronic data interchange and release accounting system for car suppliers: it is a closed loop corporate-wide information system with integrated automotive functionality from receipt to transmission of advance shipment notice; Ask says its relationship with Electronic Data Systems Corp which includes a 20% equity investment and joint marketing agreement, will contribute significantly to its success since EDS will offer it to manufacturers that have engaged EDS for facilities management or systems integration; Manman for Hewlett-Packard 3000 and DEC VAX will begin in early 1991, costing between $10,000 to $75,000.
