MOTOROLA WINS $50M POLISH NETWORK DEAL

Motorola Inc’s cellular Infrastructure Group has been awarded a $50m contract by Poland’s Telekomunikacja Polska SA to build a fixed and converged services network. The network will apparently be the world’s largest and Europe’s first of its type using Code Division Multiple Access on Motorola’s wireless local loop system. The announcement comes just days after Motorola announced it would be building a similar network in India (CI No 3,224).
